Assessment of the perception of the movement speed of the driving vehicle

Based on the analysis of accident data in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, accident-hazardous areas were identified where the vehicle traffic mode changes. Since earlier studies established that the driver estimates the speed of movement by the speedometer only in 10 %, an experiment was conducted for a group of drivers with different driving experience and professional skills in various road conditions to assess the speed of the controlled vehicle. The dependence of the actual speed of movement on the set speed of movement and the dependence of the error in perceiving the speed of movement on the set speed of movement were revealed. Keywords assessment, speed, driving experience, time, safety
