Multiplikation in der Lehrkräftefortbildung. Eine Typologie des (berufs-)biografischen Selbstverständnisses von Multiplikator*innen in der sprachlichen Bildung

The training strategy of the train-the-trainer-model is very popular in teacher training and also in the field of language education. Studies on the professionalization of teacher educators, however, are still marginal. Based on a biographical approach to professionalization, this article reconstructs three types of multipliers in teacher training in the context of language education on the basis of biographical narrative interviews: Type 1 defines a pedagogical-social claim to school and society as a central element of their own (professional) biographical professional understanding. Type 2 shows a (lifelong) passion for language and language education, with which the activity as a trainer for language education is justified. Type 3 designs their (professional) biography and thus the activity as a multiplier primarily as a balancing act between different professional and private interests and circumstances.
