Intersektionale Hospizarbeit: Konzeptionelle Leitideen, empirische Leerstellen und professionalisierte Umsetzung
Hospice care aims to provide dignified support to people in the final phase of their lives. Despite a declared openness to all population groups, initial studies show that certain social groups – such as people with an international family background, socio-economically disadvantaged or queer people – use these services less frequently. This article argues that an intersectional approach makes it possible to identify and dismantle structural barriers. Conceptual gaps and challenges are analyzed based on the different categories of culture, gender and socio-economic background. Finally, approaches to the intersectional opening of hospice care, as well as recommendations for research, practice, and professionalization are presented.
