Zur (Un)Attraktivität der Mittelschule: Warum entscheiden sich Lehramtsstudierende für bzw. gegen diese Schulform?

Based on the shortage of teachers and the comparatively low and declining numbers of first-year students in non-high school lower secondary education, this interview study examines student teachers from Bavaria with regard to their study and career choice decisions for or against ‘Mittelschule’. The results indicate that personal school-related experiences play a crucial role in the decision to pursue or reject a career in lower secondary school teaching.
