Results of the Reni well renovation at the Brzan spring: Impact on capacity and water quality
The "Morava-Brzan" spring for supplying Kragujevac with drinking water was built in the period 1965-1976 with 14 wells. Over the years, the capacity of the spring has decreased due to changes in the course of the Velika Morava River, low water levels, and deposits in the drains themselves. In November 2024, underwater recording of the condition of the drains was carried out, which showed that the drains were in very poor condition. The revitalization of the well is underway, and this paper will briefly describe the process of obtaining new quantities of water, from recording the drains with an underwater camera, inserting new drains, flushing and quality control of the obtained water.
