Sequential Oxa‐Michael Addition/Reduction: A Short Access to 4‐Tetrahydropyranyl Crotyl Esters from Weinreb Acrylamide
Abstract The synthesis of 4‐tetrahydropyranyl crotyl esters has been conveniently achieved by merging a tandem Oxa‐Michael cyclization/Weinreb amide reduction and a subsequent Wittig‐Horner olefination. The procedure was also applied to the access to a parent benzofuran derivative.
