Benevolent Childhood Experiences and Afrocentric Norms: Pathways to Flourishing Among Urban Black Young Adults
These findings identify BCEs as an important strength among emerging Black adults. The moderating effects observed highlight the need for targeted social interventions, and culturally responsive practices that expand access to BCEs, reduce discrimination, and enhance resilience. Community-based approaches that affirm cultural identity may be particularly critical for promoting flourishing and well-being in this population.
