Assessment of the combined effects of physical and chemical factors on the variability of blood biochemical indicators in a chronic experiment on laboratory animals
Ethical and technical problems arising from conducting long-term studies on humans make the use of small laboratory animals as an available experimental model relevant. Studying the characteristics of changes in biochemical blood parameters in Wistar rats, potentiated by the combined impact of physical and chemical factors (at levels of 1.5 MAC, MCL) under model conditions (180-day chronic experiment), contributes to the diagnosis of initial clinical manifestations of diseases related to the effects of factors of the production environment, which influence the development of accelerated cellular aging. Objective: to assess the combined impact of physical and chemical factors on the variability of biochemical blood parameters in laboratory animals under chronic experimental conditions, characterizing the stages of the adaptation process. Study object: white laboratory rats of the Wistar line (n=90), grouped into three groups: two experimental. In the course of the study, the boundaries of variability of biochemical blood parameters in Wistar laboratory rats were determined depending on the duration and type of combined exposure to physical (general vibration, noise) and chemical (4-component hydrocarbon aerosol) factors, compared to the control group. Based on the assessment of the experiment results, the risks of cumulative effects of these factors and markers of biochemical blood parameters that increase the risks of developing acute and chronic diseases, poisoning that contribute to the activation of mechanisms of premature aging in the organisms of the experimental groups were established, compared to the control group. The study of complex periodic influences of physical and chemical factors (1.5 MAC, MAC) on the constancy of biochemical parameters of blood in model animals, as biological (living) systems, contributes to the understanding of the mechanisms of premature aging to reduce the risks of stress-induced pathological conditions that promote the development of occupational diseases in workers exposed to harmful production factors.
