Landfill Gas Purification System Evaluation
The study analyses innovative approaches to landfill gas purification to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable energy production. The study aims to develop a prototype for a landfill gas purification system to enable the further use of these gases for clean energy production. Within the framework of the study, a prototype of a gas purification system was developed, combining biological desulfurisation and activated carbon filtration technologies. Biological desulfurisation employs sulphur-oxidising bacteria that effectively break down hydrogen sulphide, while activated carbon filtration improves gas quality, making it suitable for energy production. The study's results aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote environmental protection using innovative and competitive technologies.
