Robotic Automation of Railway Cable Line Diagnostics

This paper discusses the development of a robotfinder designed to identify faults in railway cable lines. Automated wireless method to detect faults using an acoustic approach by moving a robot-finder along the cable route is proposed. The structure and components of the robot-finder have been developed and selected. Simulation of the movement of a four-wheeled search robot with the calculation of its movement coordinates has been performed.

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of a robotfinder designed to identify faults in railway cable lines. Automated wireless method to detect faults using an acoustic approach by moving a robot-finder along the cable route is proposed. The structure and components of the robot-finder have been developed and selected. Simulation of the movement of a four-wheeled search robot with the calculation of its movement coordinates has been performed.
