Simulation of single-unit activity based on real data with preservation of temporal coordinates of bursts

An approach to modeling single neuron activity based on the interspike interval distribution of experimental data is presented. This approach allows preserving the position of burst activity periods in time, which can help in the development and validation of burst detection methods in real data.
