Enhancing Safe Driving: A Behavioral Monetizing-Based Approach Using Blockchains
This work addresses the issue of risky driving behaviors, such as sudden accelerations, abrupt changes in direction, and zigzag maneuvers, which increase the likelihood of accidents and compromise road safety. To tackle these challenges, a blockchain-based solution is proposed, utilizing smart contracts to monitor and evaluate vehicular data in real-time. The system encourages safe practices through a monetization model that rewards responsible driving and penalizes unsafe actions, ensuring the traceability and immutability of stored data. The proposed solution was implemented on the Hyperledger Fabric platform, integrated with IoT devices, and tested in a Kubernetes environment simulating real traffic conditions. The experiments analyzed driving behaviors based on predefined metrics, demonstrating the system's ability to efficiently process data and dynamically enforce rules, issuing rewards or penalties as appropriate.
