Study on Water Seal Stability of Indoor Drainage System in Buildings Based on Environmental Health

With the acceleration of urbanization, the drainage system of high-rise buildings is facing higher requirements. In order to ensure a healthy and comfortable living and working environment, this paper establishes a four-layer simulated drainage experimental device and measures the pressure change of water seal in the drainage system. It is found that higher water seal height can effectively resist negative pressure, prevent harmful gas from flowing back, and improve indoor air quality. Especially at the drainage rate of 9 cubic meters/hour, the height of water seal decreased significantly due to large pressure fluctuation, suggesting the importance of optimal design. This study provides data support for the improvement of drainage system in high-rise buildings and emphasizes the key role of reasonable design and maintenance for environmental protection and public health safety. The research results are helpful to develop a more efficient building drainage monitoring and management system to meet the environmental challenges brought by urbanization.
