Deployment and Migration Mechanism of the Fifth Generation Wireless System Network Slicing in Open-Pit Mines

This study investigated network slicing migration technology in 5G wireless systems, with a particular focus on its application in complex environments, such as open-pit mines. The primary objective was to design a 5G network slicing migration model tailored to such challenging conditions and to evaluate its performance through experimental validation. To this end, simulation experiments and comparative analyses were employed. Migration experiments were conducted across various scenarios, assessing key metrics, such as migration time, data loss rate, and postmigration network performance. Building on these evaluations, the study proposes and implements the “source task–target task” model, named OptiSlice, which leverages optimized strategies and algorithms to enable efficient and secure network slicing migration. Experimental results demonstrated that the OptiSlice model outperforms traditional approaches across multiple indicators.
