AUTOMATING THE ULTRASONIC HOMOGENIZATION PROCESS OF POLYURE-THANE IN A VACUUM CASTING MACHINE

The aim of the study is to improve the quality of polyurethane products obtained by casting due to implementing an automated ultrasonic homogenization process as part of a vacuum casting machine. The objective is to develop and implement an effective control system of a multiparameter technological process, including dosing, mixing, vacuum-ing, ultrasonic treatment, and pouring the mixture. The research applies such methods as circuit design modelling, microcontroller programming, developing a graphical user interface, and experimental evaluation of the polyure-thane strength characteristics under varying parameters of ultrasonic treatment. The scientific novelty of the work lies in integrating an ultrasonic homogenizer into a traditional vacuum casting machine and automating all stages of the process with the possibility of flexible parameter adjustment. For the first time, the author demonstrates the effect of ultrasound power on the strength of polyurethane under vacuum conditions. As a result of experimental tests, it is established that at an ultrasound power of 300 W, an optimal effect is achieved, the polyurethane strength increases by 60% compared to classical mixing. The developed control system and algorithms have ensured stability, reproduc-ibility, and minimization of defects in the products. The conclusions drawn confirm the feasibility of introducing this technology into small-scale production of high-quality plastic parts.
