A STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE NUMBER OF VACANT STORES ON THE OVERALL IMPRESSION OF SHOPPING ARCADES
This study focused on vacant stores in shopping arcades, and through an impression evaluation experiment using whole-sky images of shopping arcades, aimed to clarify how the number of vacant stores affects the visual impression of the shopping arcade as a whole and the willingness to visit. The results showed that the number of vacant stores has a significant influence on the impression of the shopping arcade. The evaluation structure of vacant stores was also found to be different depending on the number of vacant stores. It was surmised that this was due to differences in what was considered important.
