Internal Crisis Communication: Strategies for Organizational Preparedness and Staff Engagement
Internal communication is a cornerstone of organizational resilience during crises, ensuring staff and volunteers remain informed, engaged, and capable of executing critical tasks. This article examines strategies for maintaining clear, consistent, and actionable internal communication, fostering trust, morale, and operational cohesion. Case studies—including WhatsApp groups and intranet hubs used by NGOs during the 2015 Nepal earthquake—demonstrate practical applications. By integrating these practices, organizations can enhance readiness, promote operational effectiveness, and sustain public trust and cooperation during crises.
