Digital agricultural technologies: content and main types

Thus, in the article, theoretical provisions on understanding the essence of digital agricultural technology are deepened, its main features are identified, and a classification of the main types of these technologies are proposed. This was done, first, by applying content analysis and studying approaches to the interpretation of the content of the category "digital technology" available in the scientific literature. The analysis of the obtained results allowed formulating the author's approach to understanding the essence of this category. In the article, its substantive features and the main types of digital technologies are identified. They were classified according to the following criteria: purpose; object of use; field of application; type of devices and systems used for development and implementation; level of automation, intellectualisation and self-learning; level of user interaction; role in the development of society; and direction of use. In addition, in the article, the essences of digital agricultural technology is analyzed, its essential features are calrified, and it is proposed to consider this category as a set of tools, means and devices, the use of which ensures creation, collection, processing, transmission and storage of information in production, processing and sale of agricultural products with high speed and accuracy exclusively in electronic form, based on the use of digital binary format using electronic devices. Considering the content of the proposed definition, the author clarifies essential features of digital agricultural technology and classifies them. The types of digital agricultural technologies were distributed according to the following criteria: by industry; by the scope of application in the agricultural business; by the role in development of an agricultural enterprise; by properties; by functional affiliation; by the direction of use; by the level of transformation potential; by the level of distribution; by the specific features of implementation.
