Lekarze cudzoziemcy – problemy związane z zatrudnianiem
The work of doctors is to secure human health and life. In order to be implemented, it also requires formal and legal regulations. Medical entities sign contracts with the National Health Fund and the Ministry of Health enabling the provision of health and medical services. In the professional group of doctors, a deepening deficit can be seen in relation to the demand for medical services. The challenge and attempt to solve this problem is the employment of foreign doctors. This issue is not easy due to legal regulations regarding the requirements for confirmation, for example in connection with the re- quirement to know the Polish language, of qualifications held, acquired skills. Moreover, an important issue is the fact that giving the right to practice the profession of a doctor optimally guarantees the real safety of patients. This article analyzes the aforementioned situation and outlines the perspective, also doing so on the basis of data available in various databases regarding the functioning of medical entities and institutions related to the problem of health.
