Integración de los ejes transversales en el proceso educativo escolar

This article analyzes the integration of cross-curricular themes in the school educational process in Ecuador, according to the Curriculum of Compulsory Education Levels (Ministry of Education, 2016). These themes—interculturality, environment, health and safety, citizenship and values, and rights—are key pillars for the comprehensive training of students. Through a documentary review of regulations and national studies, achievements and challenges in their implementation are identified. The results show that, although there is a strong regulatory framework, further efforts are needed in teacher training, pedagogical innovation, and the evaluation of transversal learning.
