Português como língua não materna em São Tomé contribuições para a formação de professores e elaboração de recursos didáticos
This paper was prepared based on the content of an undergraduate dissertation defended in 2025 by a student of the Portuguese Language Degree course in São Tomé. The main objective of this work is to share a proposal for the development of teaching material for teaching Portuguese as a non-native language and cultural diversity. Due to this multiculturalism, the teaching material presented contains expressions in Creole and proposes comprehension activities, as it deals with the social reality in São Tomé and Príncipe, as well as presents content that refers to cultural manifestations according to a multilingual approach according to Pedroso (2019). The theoretical direction for the development of the teaching material follows Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), according to Ellis (2003) and Richards (2006). ELBT is a set of theoretical and practical procedures in line with the perspective of language as a social practice according to Clark (2000), Schlatter and Garcez (2012). The descriptions shared in this work are aimed mainly at teacher training.
