GLUMAČKI OŽIVLJENA LUTKA NA TELEVIZIJI U FUNKCIJI MORALNOG VASPITANJA
The paper explores specific values, potentials and significance of actoranimated puppet and its impact on the formation of moral attitudes and the adoption of positive moral and spiritual values and life principles among children. The research sample consisted of children puppet shows broadcasted on Television Belgrade until 1990. The first part of the paper presents theoretical views on the advantages of television as a medium in children’s moral education and socialization. It is pointed out that children’s favorite characters on television are puppets. On the one hand, children find them entertaining, but on the other hand it is easy for children to identify with puppets and learn from them, adopt socially desirable behavioural patterns, and develop moral judgements. Therefore, the puppet is an allegorical figure that, through animal characters, personifies moral values (or their antipodes). It is concluded that the best and most educative TV puppet shows broadcasted on Television Belgrade were the series Na slovo, na slovo by Dušan Radović and Kolariću-paniću by Ljubiša Đokić. Short extracts from scenarios were presented to demonstrate their potential for the formation of moral attitudes and the adoption of ethical values among children.
