Urbanismo paramétrico para Zonas Especiais de Interesse Social: experimentos na ZEIS Califon/Estação Velha

Special Zone of Social Interest (ZEIS) is an urban-regulatory instrument that requires differentiated treatment in defining urbanization patterns, subdivisions, use and occupation of land, aiming to support urban infrastructures and services suited to their specificities. However, the parameters proposed by legislation for these settlements tend to replicate those designed for other areas of the city, not meeting the needs of their residents. In this sense, the paper aims to outline methodological contributions for the design of urban parameters in ZEIS, which consider their morphological particularities, and having as an empirical object the Califon/Estação Velha in Campina Grande, Paraíba. Initially, it applies a methodology to identify and classify different morphological patterns existing in the ZEIS, and, based on these, simulate urban parameters suitable for each pattern. The results reveal that the ZEIS presents two morphological patterns, each of which requires different urban parameters that take into account their specificities.
