A cognitive Fast Fourier Transform-Based Frequency Hopping System
Frequency hopping systems (FH) are widely used in various forms of communication due to their reliable communication performance. However, traditional frequency hopping systems usually reserve guard intervals between each sub channel. Although these guard intervals can increase the probability of correct demodulation, the existence of such guard intervals undoubtedly reduces spectrum utilization, which is very luxurious in today’s increasingly scarce spectrum resources. Moreover, conventional frequency hopping systems has a fixed frequency selection when facing complex electromagnetic environments, making it difficult to effectively deal with multi band interference and dynamically changing interference scenarios. This article proposes a cognitive Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-based frequency hopping system (CR-FFT-FH) to improve the problems of traditional frequency hopping mentioned above, and designs a clustered frequency band mapping based on interference weights under this architecture. The simulation results show that the frequency hopping system under this architecture has stronger anti-interference ability compared to some traditional frequency hopping architectures.
