Development of a Virtual Coaching System for Long-Distance Runners Based on Wearable Data
This research aims to realize a virtual training instructor system for marathon runners using data recorded by wearable devices. It uses the real-time collected data of athletes’ physical indicators and implements intelligent analysis to provide customized training feedback. The system structure elements include data acquisition module, back-end information processing and storage, virtual coach feedback system and user operation interface. Equipped with wearable tools such as smart watches and heart rate monitors, the system continuously tracks and records the athlete’s heart rate, pace rhythm, travel speed and other indicators, and transmits the data information to the back-end server for processing and analysis through wireless channels. In the data sorting stage, dynamic time warping technology and machine learning strategies are used to design unique training guidance for athletes. The research results show that the system is good at collecting and comprehensively analyzing sports-related data, pushing customized evaluation content in real time, helping athletes optimize their training plans, enhancing training effectiveness and reducing the chance of injury. The system has effectively controlled the battery consumption and data accuracy, reflecting its feasibility in specific application scenarios.
