ISAR Imaging Analysis of Ship-Sea Composite Scattering Under Variable Observation Geometries
Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging plays a critical role in achieving high-resolution maritime target surveillance. In this paper, we propose a composite ship-sea scattering model, which combines realistic sea surface geometry generated using the Pierson Moskowitz (PM) spectrum with detailed vessel structural modeling. Electromagnetic backscatter responses are simulated across a wide frequency band and varying aspect angles. Subsequently, two-dimensional ISAR images are reconstructed based on the Range-Doppler (RD) and Back Projection (BP) algorithms. Comparative analysis demonstrates that multipath reflections introduce additional scattering channels, and evaluates the influence of observation geometry on image clarity and target recognition performance.
