Design and development of remote sensing image data mosaic system
With the rapid development of remote sensing technology, the types of satellite image sensors and the volume of data have been increasing dramatically. Meanwhile, various industries in society are increasingly demanding higher resolution and larger size for remote sensing data products, and requiring large-area mosaicked products. Traditional methods for mosaicking production are very time-consuming and prone to quality issues. This paper first designed a technical route according to the requirements of remote sensing image mosaicking. It investigated key issues such as the screening of massive images, the serial editing of mosaicking lines, and quality inspection. It has designed and completed a remote sensing image mosaicking system. The system can well meet the actual needs of mosaicking production, runs smoothly and stably, and has rich functions. Through practical application, the system can significantly improve production efficiency and ensure data quality.
