Risk factors for 30-day COVID-19 mortality among people living with dementia in Alberta, Canada: a retrospective cohort study
The 30-day COVID-19 case fatality rate was high among PLWD. PLWD who were older, male, and living in long-term care were at the greatest risk. The findings of this study demonstrate that specific groups of PLWD, based on both demographic and site-of-care-related factors, would benefit most from improved attention in future infectious disease public health planning.
