Toque Terapêutico para o corpo, mente e espírito

One of the alternatives to solve the crisis of the basic healthcare models in Brazil (SUS) and in the world, is the development of innovative actions. The aims of this project encompass the sensitization the population, health service actors and managers on the importance and effects of the provision of Integrative and Complementary Practices in health in a regular and institutionalized way. We organized the experiences in the practices offered by this project in three strategies: Workshops in the communities and partner health units, Therapeutic Sessions with Reiki, Auriculotherapy and Aesthetic and Therapeutic Massage offer on a regular basis and Training courses. The evaluations of the activities by the target public were very positive, to the point of having created the demand for the institution of these practices in the SUS, with the opening of a Training Course in Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health (TCMs), organized by the Municipal Secretary of Health, more specifically by the newly created PICs Management department, which will culminate in the edition of the respective Municipal Policy. Holistic and integral treatment leads to less drug use and less waste of natural resources. A healthy individual is in balance with himself and with the environment in which he lives.
