Theoretical Model of the Formation of a Sense of Patriotism among Police Cadets based on Spiritual and Moral Values

The article describes a model of patriotic education of cadets created on the basis of a value-based approach. The internal structure of the organization of the process of patriotism formation among cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, its features and methodology are considered. The problem of the research lies in the need to model the process of forming a sense of patriotism based on the use of the educational potential of spiritual and moral values. Criteria for the formation of patriotism and recommendations for the implementation of the model in the activities of an educational organization are proposed. The scientific substantiation of the creation of a model for the formation of patriotism based on value and theological approaches is based on the works of modern Russian scientists in the field of pedagogical sciences. The purpose of pedagogical modeling is to determine the possibilities of using spiritual and moral values in the process of patriotic education. The ways of forming patriotism are described. The components of the model are the components of a sense of patriotism (value, behavioral, emotional–volitional, motivational, regulatory, cognitive, productive, operational), basic spiritual and moral values (humanity, striving for moral duty, honor, justice, personal dignity, conscience, faith in goodness, will), ways of using educational potential (interdisciplinary, intradisciplinarity, collective, individual, meaningful, methodological, situational), forms of using the educational potential of spiritual and moral values for patriotic education (remote communication, interactive game, a communicative and dialogical method of organizing activities in a multiethnic team, a round table, a method of analyzing a problem situation, a method of game imitation, a method of communicative modeling, a method of making a portfolio, brainstorming, presentation, a systematic method of researching parenting problems, socratic dialogue). The research makes it possible to actualize the use of the educational potential of spiritual and moral values for patriotic education.
