Generation of structured light beams with tunable longitudinal and transverse profiles

We experimentally demonstrate the holographic generation of frozen wave (FW) beams with tunable transverse profiles along the propagation axis, as recently proposed in theory. These structured light beams allow simultaneous control over both longitudinal and transverse field patterns, opening up promising possibilities for applications in photonics, optical manipulation, atom guiding, lithography, optical and acoustic scalpels, and various biomedical technologies.

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the holographic generation of frozen wave (FW) beams with tunable transverse profiles along the propagation axis, as recently proposed in theory. These structured light beams allow simultaneous control over both longitudinal and transverse field patterns, opening up promising possibilities for applications in photonics, optical manipulation, atom guiding, lithography, optical and acoustic scalpels, and various biomedical technologies.
