Some demographic and social aspects regarding the village of Liliești, Prahova County 1921–1950
This paper explores the development of the Liliești and Țintea communities through a dual lens of demographic analysis and the role of local elites, combining insights from the civil status registers of the St. Nicolas–Liliești Church archive (1921–1950) and the socio-cultural influence of key community figures. By examining trends in birth rates, mortality, healthcare access, and socio-economic factors, the research sheds light on the evolving health and demographic landscape of the area. Additionally, the study delves into the significant contributions of the local elites. This intersection of material development and symbolic influence underscores the critical role of the elites in fostering social cohesion, promoting education, and improving public health, ultimately driving the community’s growth and resilience.
