MENINGKATKAN PERENCANAAN KARIER MELALUI LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK TEKNIK PROBLEM SOLVING KELAS XI-F7 SMA N 1 BAE KUDUS

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using the problem-solving technique in improving career planning among 11th-grade students of class XI-F7 at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus. The research employed a guidance and counseling action research method conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were eight students identified as having low levels of career planning based on the initial assessment. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ career planning attitudes. In the pre-cycle, the average score was in the "very poor" category (33%), increasing to "poor" (53%) in the first cycle, and reaching the "good" category (62%) in the second cycle. These results indicate that group guidance using the problem-solving technique effectively helps students understand their potential, gain knowledge about career opportunities, and develop more structured career plans. The study recommends the application of similar guidance services in school counseling programs to support students’ career development.
