KONSELING KELOMPOK MELALUI TERAPI SYUKUR UNTUK MENGURANGI SHOPPING ADDICTION PADA SISWA SMA N 2 KUDUS

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group counseling through gratitude therapy in reducing shopping addiction behavior in adolescents. Shopping addiction is a compulsive and uncontrolled shopping behavior, which can have a negative impact on the psychological and social life of adolescents. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically using a one-group pre-test post-test design. The subjects for the study were 6 students of SMA N 2 Kudus who were selected through purposive sampling based on the results of a certain scale. Treatment was given in the form of group counseling for 4 sessions with a gratitude therapy approach. Data collection was carried out using a shopping addiction scale before and after treatment. This approach was used because the researcher provided treatment to one group of subjects and then compared the results before and after the treatment was given. The results of the analysis used, namely the t-test with a paired sample t-test, showed a significance value of 0.012 <0.05, there was a significant change between the pre-test and post-test scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that group counseling through gratitude therapy is effective in reducing shopping addiction behavior in adolescents.
