Mastering Grant Writing: Pathways to Sustainability and Impact
Grant writing is a strategic discipline that connects organizational vision to long-term sustainability and social impact. This article synthesizes key stages of the grant writing process—from identifying funding opportunities and preparing proposals to managing post-award relationships—and situates them within debates on accountability, equity, and resilience in non-profit management. By integrating storytelling, structured design, budgeting, compliance, and relationship-building, non-profits can enhance their credibility and capacity to deliver impact. For academics, this synthesis highlights systemic dimensions of philanthropy and governance. For practitioners, it provides a roadmap for embedding grant writing into organizational culture as both a technical skill and a strategic tool for sustainability.
