Intubación de secuencia rápida en pediatría
Classical rapid sequence induction exposes pediatric patients to a higher risk of cardiorespiratory deterioration and traumatic intubation due to their lower tolerance to apnea and the resulting shortening of the intubation window. In this context, controlled rapid sequence inductionincorporating gentle face mask ventilation prior to intubation-represents a safer and more appropriate approach for the pediatric population. A comprehensive search was conducted of studies published between 2005 and 2024 in the PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, and Google Scholar databases.
