Modeling of ozone discharge systems during water activation in a flow‐through electroactivator

Abstract Electroactivated water with a given pH and a given level of ozone saturation is used in modern methods of irrigation and soil disinfection when growing plants in closed soils. Ozone, as a strong oxidizer, is used as an effective method of water treatment, which disinfects from bacteria, fungi, mold, viruses and protozoa. In addition, treatment with ozonized water increases the shelf life of fruits and vegetables by reducing the population of microorganisms and ethylene oxidation, which slows down the ripening process of harvest. A combined irrigation system should have optimal values of ozone and pH in water. A unit for creating an irrigation solution for plants with a given level of ozone saturation and a given pH is presented. To calculate its parameters for stabilization and determine the effective concentration of ozone, a generalized mathematical model of ozone molecule accumulation in ozone concentration stabilizer is proposed. A relationship between ozone formation and its accumulation in the stabilizer is established. It is shown that the amount of ozone obtained per unit of energy expended has a linear dependence on the ozone energy yield. In this case, the formation of ozone concentration occurs simultaneously with the formation of an ionized air mixture.
