Preparation Of Etoricoxib By Continuous Flow

The present invention relates a single solvent, highly efficient flow synthesis of a pharmaceutically active ingredient Etoricoxib (5-chloro-3-(4-methanesulfonylphenyl)-6'-methyl-[2,3'] bipyridine. In this synthesis approach, the reaction was carried out in the flow reactor with controlled reaction conditions which offered the desired product with 65-70% yield and remarkable quality.
