DESIGN, ASSEMBLY, ANALYSIS OF ROLL CAGE AND MOUNTINGS OF AN ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE
This research work presents about the design and development of an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) chassis for BAJA 2024, an event that provides undergraduate students with a platform to apply engineering applications and enhance their adroitness in the automotive field. The chassis, serving as the skeleton of the vehicle, is designed to be robust enough to endure various loads and vibrations encountered during operation while ensuring driver safety and comfort.SolidWorks 2023 was employed to model and iterate different frame designs. These designs were subsequently analysed, simulated, and optimized using ANSYS 2023 R1 to evaluate the effects of various dynamic and static loads under real-life conditions. This research focuses on both structural and thermal analysis of the components, which proved to be crucial for the design and development of the ATV chassis. These analyses provided valuable insights, ensuring the reliability and performance of the vehicle in challenging environments.
