Divan Edebiyatında Devlet-Millet İlişkisi: Nâbî Örneği

In this study, how the state-nation relationship is handled in the works of Nâbî, one of the important representatives of 17th century Divan literature, is analyzed from different aspects. Nābī, who is the most important representative of the Hikemī poetry in Turkish literature, gave wide coverage to the social and political issues of his period in his works and put forward important views on issues such as state administration, justice, merit and social cooperation. This study analyzes the poet's thoughts on the state-nation relationship through selected couplets from Nābī's Divan, Hayriyya and Persian odes, and evaluates the place of these thoughts in the Ottoman philosophy of state and political tradition. In Nābī's poems, themes such as the responsibilities of rulers towards the people, the importance of justice, the principle of merit, the necessity of social cooperation, criticism of the functioning of state institutions, and ideal state administration come to the fore. This approach of the poet serves as a warning and advice in the face of the political and social turmoil that the Ottoman Empire experienced in the 17th century. The study reveals that Nābī should be evaluated not only as a representative of the wisdom style but also as a thinker who deals with the state-nation relationship in his poems.
