Emergent Multisublattice Dynamics in Ferrimagnetic Dy 3 Fe 5 O 12

Beneath the structural simplicity of cubic Dy 3 Fe 5 O 12 lies a magnetically intricate world shaped by three interacting sublattices. The study reveals that this rare‐earth iron garnet hosts two distinct compensation points and a wide thermal hysteresis window, signatures of metastable spin configurations emerging from subtle sublattice competition. Even more striking is the anomalous field training effect: cooling in stronger magnetic fields reduces, rather than enhances, the net magnetization. Time‐dependent measurements uncover slow relaxation at low temperatures, pointing to energy barriers that trap the system in nonequilibrium states. While the Fe ions occupy geometrically distinct tetrahedral and octahedral sites, their contrasting environments likely imprint subtle anisotropic influences on the spin dynamics. These findings establish Dy 3 Fe 5 O 12 as a deceptively simple yet rich platform to explore emergent behavior in oxide‐based ferrimagnets with multiple magnetic sublattices.
