Association between relative fat mass and obstructive sleep apnea and the potential mediating effect of hypertension: based on NHANES 2005-2008 and 2015-2018
There is a positive and nonlinear correlation between RFM and OSA. Hypertension plays a potential mediating role in the positive association between RFM and OSA, but its robustness is poor. RFM shows potential as a predictor of OSA, but more prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings and determine the causal relationship between RFM and OSA.
