Relación entre la Satisfacción Laboral y el Síndrome de Burnout en Docentes: Estado del Arte
This state of the art presents a systematic review on burnout syndrome and job satisfaction in teachers, key topics for the emotional well-being of educators and educational quality. Through the analysis of international, national, and regional research, it was identified that the majority of studies focus on exploring the relationship between these two factors and their connection with variables such as school climate and depression. The theoretical frameworks reviewed align with the approach of authors such as Maslach and Jackson, who conceptualize burnout as a response to chronic work-related stress, while job satisfaction is recognized as an essential factor for teacher well-being. Regarding methodology, quantitative approaches predominated, with instruments such as the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale being frequently used. The results show an inverse relationship between both variables: the higher the satisfaction, the lower the incidence of burnout, which helps in preventing negative consequences such as emotional exhaustion and depression. Finally, the scarcity of studies in the regional context is emphasized, highlighting the importance of this research as a starting point for future inquiries in public educational institutions in Tolima.
