ANALISIS POTENSI TUMBUHAN SUMBER PAKAN LEBAH MADU KLANCENG (Heterotrigona itama) DI KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA
This research aims to analyze the potential of plants as a food source for the Klanceng honey bee (Heterotrigona itama) in Lampuyang Village, Talaga District, Majalengka Regency. Klanceng bees are a type of stingless bee that plays an important role in plant pollination and has economic value through honey production. The success of Klanceng bee cultivation is greatly influenced by the availability of food in the form of nectar, pollen and resin from various types of plants in the surrounding area. The research was carried out using the sample plot method at a radius of ±500 m with 32 sample plots. Vegetation data was collected and analyzed based on the importance value index (INP), Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), abundance index (E), and dominance index (ID). The results of the research show that there are 22 types of plants that have the potential to be a source of food for bees, consisting of plants that produce nectar, pollen and pollen nectar. Vegetation diversity is at a moderate level with an even distribution of species and no single dominance. The varying flowering periods indicate the availability of food throughout the year.
