First person – Bethany Campbell

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Bethany Campbell is first author on ‘ Endocytic patch dynamics are differentially regulated at distinct cell sites in fission yeast’, published in JCS. Bethany conducted the research described in this article while a PhD student in the lab of Maitreyi Das at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA, USA. She is now a Visiting Lecturer of Biology at Maryville College, Maryville, TN, USA, with an interest in cell polarity, membrane trafficking and cytoskeletal regulation.
