A bridging thiocarbyne ligand in diiron( <scp>i</scp> ) complexes enables unconventional isomerization pathways and structural diversity leading to potent cytotoxicity

Diiron bis-cyclopentadienyl complexes of type [Fe 2 Cp 2 (L′)(L)(μ-CO)(μ-CSMe)] + can be designed by appropriate choice of the monodentate ligands (L, L′) to tune aqueous solubility, lipophilicity, isomerization processes and cancer cell cytotoxicity.
