Eltrombopag-induced cerebral venous sinus thrombosis
Abstract: Eltrombopag is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist (TPO-RA), used for treating immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a rare adverse drug reaction (ADR) of eltrombopag. This report highlights a case of eltrombopag-induced CVST in a 32-year-old female with ITP and endeavors to evaluate the ADR based on current guidelines of prescription of TPO-RAs.
