Precursor and pinned solitons in presence of a moving charged source in electron-positron-ion plasma
Abstract We have investigated the impact of nonthermal electron and positron distributions ( kappa, Tsallis, and Cairns) on the formation of precursor and pinned solitons with a moving charged source in electron-positron-ion (EPI) plasma. We have examined the effect of the variation of the degree of nonthermality on the structure and characteristics of excited solitons. The amplitude of the excited electrostatic potential, the number of precursor or pinned solitons are observed to be impacted by the alteration of the electron and positron concentration. This work is an extension of the previously studied theoretical and experimental investigation on the formation of precursor and pinned soliton in electron-ion and also in dusty plasma systems (Phys. Plasmas 23, 022301 (2016), Phys. Plasmas 26, 093701 (2019)). The results of our study provide a comprehensive theoretical framework for nonlinear wave dynamics in EPI plasma, relevant to both laboratory and astrophysical environments where nonthermal populations play a crucial role in wave-particle interactions.
