Abstract

The article claims that traditional English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction is insufficient for the complex demands of the modern geodesy and land management profession, where globalization requires high-level, practical language skills. There is a significant gap between the competencies developed at university and the requirements of the labor market, which necessitates a new pedagogical approach to prevent student demotivation. To address this, the paper proposes a holistic, technology-enhanced framework designed to develop performance-based communicative competence. The central task is to move beyond isolated digital tools by strategically integrating a suite of modern technologies into a cohesive, scaffolded learning pathway. This model begins with foundational knowledge acquisition using Spaced Repetition Systems (SRS), moves to interactive practice with AI-powered chatbots, and then uses immersive Virtual and Augmented Reality for contextualized simulations of professional tasks. The framework culminates in synthesis and professional performance through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) to address real-world challenges.A primary goal is to train students in the dual communicative registers needed for their profession: a Vda a perspektivy 9(52) 2025
