Exploration of spatial distribution and evaluation model of geological hazard susceptibility in high mountain and canyon areas

This article takes Renhe Village in Pulu Street, Tongliang District, Chongqing as an example to study the susceptibility of geological hazards in high mountain and canyon areas. Based on field investigations and indoor data compilation, 8 key risk factors were selected from multiple factors such as terrain slope and lithology, and a geological hazard susceptibility evaluation index system was constructed. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process to calculate the weights of each indicator, and quantitatively dividing the evaluation indicators into four susceptibility levels, establishing corresponding evaluation factor grading layers. The research results indicate that five factors, including terrain slope and geological lithology, are the basic indicators of disaster prone environment and historical disasters. Through this evaluation model, the spatial distribution of the susceptibility of geological disasters in people and villages can be intuitively presented, providing scientific basis for the prevention and control of geological disasters in high mountain and canyon areas.
